Established in 1968, the Department of Marathi has been a cornerstone of academic excellence, offering undergraduate programs since its inception and postgraduate programs since the academic year 1995–96. The department has a strong tradition of students success, with many securing University Merit Scholarships over the years. The Department of Marathi has also achieved a glorious merit in the university examinations Kum.Asharani Khot stood first in Shivaji University merit list where as Kum.Anuradha Gurav gained a merit scholarship In Shivaji University. Committed to the holistic development of students, the department regularly organizes a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. These include workshops, guest and expert lectures, wall-paper publications, elocution and essay-competitions, and educational field visits.
